Museum commemorates Fujian philanthropist

A museum in memory of the philanthropist Huang Zhongxian, opened to the public on April 8 in Nan'an city, East China's Fujian province.

The museum exhibits Huang's photos, videos and belongings, and it uses a whole wall to showcase more than 100,000 thank you letters from students who Huang once helped.

Huang was born in Nan'an in 1920 and moved to Indonesia when he was 15. In 1959, Huang built a primary school in his hometown and began his lifelong charitable work. In 2004, Huang established the Fujian Huangzhongxian Education Foundation to support even more students.
