Eighteen tourist attractions in Ganzhou, Jiangxi province will open to Fujian residents for free to celebrate the launch of the Longyan-Ganzhou high-speed railway.
The new railway line linking Longyan of Fujian province and Ganzhou of Jiangxi is expected to open to traffic by the end of 2015 and will shorten travel time between the two cities from five to two hours and cut the time between Ganzhou and Fuzhou from 16 to five hours. To mark the railway's opening, Ganzhou tourism authorities plan to allow Fujian tourists to visit 18 scenic spots for free for a month with their ID cards or Longyan-Ganzhou railway tickets.
The 18 tourist attractions are mostly famous spots in Ganzhou, including the Republic cradle scenic area, Tongtianyan scenic area, Doushui Lake, Wulong Hakkas Park, Dayu Yashan scenic area, Sanbai Mountain National Forest Park, Jiuqu holiday resort, Hakka cultural park, Cuiwei Peak Forest Park, Baohulu Farm, Yunshi Mountain historical site and Zhaijiuao scenic spot.
