Guests at the second Silk Road International Film Festival in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province, Sept 22. A total of 950 new films produced by 76 countries along the Silk Road participated in the festival that runs from Sept 22 to 26. Judges have selected 105 films to be played in 15 cinemas in Fuzhou, Quanzhou and Xiamen. The annual festival is initiated by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television and held in turn by Fuzhou and Xi'an in Shaanxi province, with the aim of promoting Silk Road culture through films produced in countries along the route.
