With a newly released broadband map, residents in Xiamen can check distribution of WiFi hotspots and decide which broadband service providers are better equipped within their residential communities.
The broadband map, which is the first of its kind in China, was released in Xiamen "Informationization" Hall.
Apart from information about broadband distribution in the city, the map also provides data related to information consumption. With the data, users can learn more about residents' consumption preferences on mobile phones and other products.
The map also provides resident-friendly information that can help users improve their lives in the city.
Located at west side of Haicang Avenue, near Haicang Lake, the Xiamen "Informationization" Hall allows visitors to experience advanced technology and commercial products, including family security systems, intelligent refrigerators, and football robots. The hall mainly showcases products, inventions, and technology innovations that conform to the theme, "smart city, smart community, smart family."
