The Xiamen Historical Image Seminar was officially set up on April 11. Gao Zhenbi, the Associate Senior Journalist of the Xiamen Channel, was selected as the first Chairman of the seminar.

On the same day, the seminar issued a set of stamped postcards with old pictures of Xiamen to celebrate it’s founding.
Consisting of 2 series, the postcards include 22 precious old photos from around Xiamen that were taken from the Late Qing Period to the late 1960s. The more than 100-year-old pictures have brought outstanding visual enjoyment to Xiamen’s residents.
As the first local historical image research team, the Xiamen Historical Image Seminar was voluntarily formed by collectors and research enthusiasts of historical images and relevant units. Their main goal is to develop and utilize Xiamen’s local record resources by collecting Xiamen’s historical images such as old photos, old postcards, old maps, old movies/televisions/documentaries, old pictures, and digital images, etc.
