Notable football coaches from Argentina will visit Fujian province in July 2015 to help train 1,000 football coaches for the province in the following seven years, according to a contract signed between the Fujian Provincial Sports Bureau and the Maradona International Brand Management (Beijing) Co, fj.xinhuanet.com reported on April 1.

According to the contract, Argentina will send a football coaching team, including two coaches, two assistant coaches and a skills coach, to offer football training to primary and middle school football teachers and students in Fujian province.

It also said that in the future, Fujian will conduct a full range of exchanges and contacts with Argentina in the field of youth football development.

In March 2015, China has launched a special reform plan in football education, in which it emphasizes the importance of youth football education and development.

Argentina, known as a powerful footballing nation, has nurtured many world-class football players, such as Mario Alberto Kempes, Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi. Its national football team won the 1978 World Cup held in Argentina and the 1986 World Cup held in Mexico.
