Stricter rules are to be followed in China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) to ensure quality and convenient policies.

"The key for the construction of China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) lies in the innovation of systems and mechanisms," said Yang Yimin, deputy to the National People's Congress (NPC) and mayor of Fuzhou, in an interview during the two sessions held in Beijing from March 3 to 15.

The government has dispatched some officials and experts to Shanghai to examine Shanghai's experience in FTZ construction. "We have mapped out a task list for the new year, especially for the supervision departments," said Yang.

He noted that the central government has endowed Fujian with necessary preferential policies since the Fujian FTZ was approved by the State Council on Dec 12, 2014.

He said that registration procedures for enterprises have been simplified and that consequently some of the 26,000 newly established private enterprises in Fuzhou in 2014 also settled down in Fuzhou FTZ.

"Investors think that Fuzhou has great potential for the future and that they are willing to make investments in the city," he added.
