Baidu 91 wireless, a leading app platform in China, held a Family Day celebration in its new headquarters in Fuzhou, the capital city of Fujian province, on Jan 18.

Li Mingyuan, the vice president of Baidu.inc attended the celebration and participated in a torch relay with the staff and students from universities in the city.

In July, 2013, the internet search engine giant announced its plan to buy all equity interests in smart phone apps distributor 91 Wireless Websoft from NetDragon for a record of 1.9 billion U.S. Dollars.

In 2014, the company made strides as the market share surged from 28.8 percent to 42 percent in China, while its overseas market scaled new heights at the same time.

“We have made such an achievement so far. I hope just like the torch we passed, we can carry forward the fire of our spirit and pitch in to build a solid reputation for our company,” said Li.
