Fuzhou city in Fujian province plans to build three more subway lines by 2022.

The three new routes are the No.6, No.5 and No.4, with a combined length of 89.3 kilometers.

The No.6 Line will play a vital role in the urban rail transit, as it connects the Haixia International Exhibition Center and the Fuzhou Airport by way of some key districts in eastern Fuzhou and Changle county. It stretches 40.5 kilometers and will have 20 subway stations in between.

The construction will kick off in the second half of 2015 and is slated to complete in Dec, 2019.

The 24-km No.4 and 25-km No.5 subway lines will mainly connect various zones and landmark sites in urban Fuzhou. No.4 will start construction in 2017 and finish in Dec 2021, while the No.5 will start in 2016 and wrap up construction in Dec, 2020.

The No.1 subway line, first in Fuzhou, is being built and is scheduled to open to traffic in 2017.
