Fuzhou city is likely to become the second city in Fujian province to have a yacht club in the next one or two years.

Dachengkuaitong, a listed company engaging mainly in real estate development and manufacturing of special enameled wires, announced recently that it plans to transform 106 mu (7 hectares) of land near the Fuzhou Haixia International Exhibition Center into the yacht club.

The company obtained the rights to the land with a bidding price of 430 million yuan ($70 million) in 2013. It aims to make the yacht club an urban landmark in Fuzhou, according to Liu Hua, executive vice president of the company.

The plot of land boasts favorable geographic conditions with its proximity to the bustling Sanjiangkou (literally means estuary of three rivers) district, the Fuzhou South Railway Station and the Haixia Exhibition Center, said the company.
