The 18th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) will focus more on innovation and efficiency, including entrepreneurial service platforms, said Zhang Canmin, deputy mayor of Xiamen and director of conference organizing division of the organizing committee of CIFIT.

Zhang said during an August 5 news conference the three vital service platforms include a two-way investment promotion platform, a platform for high-end forums and symposiums, and a platform for high quality projects docking.

The 18th CIFIT will release 30,000 effective investment projects and organize more than 20 investment projects docking activities. It will also select high-quality projects from key investment industries such as communication technology, infrastructure construction and equipment manufacturing.

The Fujian province Department of Commerce organized teams to visit Fortune Global 500 multinational corporations with established regional headquarters in China. Zhong Muda, deputy director general of the Department of Commerce of Fujian province and deputy director of the organizing committee of CIFIT, said it’s predicted that over 80 firms will attend this year’s fair.

There will be 4,400 booths in the exhibition spanning seven exhibition areas for thematic investment and four for industry attraction. Fifty-five institutions from overseas countries and regions will attend the fair.

http://cnews.chinadaily.com.cn/2014-08/06/content_18258384.htm 18届投洽会将实现展览、论坛、对接“三位一体” 8月5日，第十八届中国国际投资贸易洽谈会（简称“投洽会”）新闻发布会在福州举行。投洽会组委会会务部部长、厦门市人民政府副市长张灿民，组委会办公室常务副主任、福建省商务厅副厅长钟木达等领导出席了发布会。

张灿民表示，今年投洽会将进一步着力创新，增进实效，确立“大对接、大洽谈”的全新理念，把展览、论坛、对接有效融为一体，打造三位一体的高效服务平台。首先要推动展览洽谈完全结合。再则要引导对接与会议有机融合，并且促进对接洽谈与配套活动的有效整合。

据张灿民介绍，本届投洽会将推出约30000个有效投资项目，并精选出新一代通信技术、基础设施、装备制造等十大重点投资产业相关优质项目，重点邀请跨国公司、龙头企业、行业领袖和中小企业参加，推出20多场系列投资项目对接活动。

钟木达表示，为了提升项目对接的效果，投洽会将促进展洽结合，组织跨国公司系列活动，支持中国企业“走出去”。“凡是有投资意向、来不及洽谈的企业，都可以到展会上洽谈合作，再进一步组织考察。”钟木达说。

据钟木达介绍，为提升实效，福建省商务厅加大了力度，组成多个招商小分队，逐家拜访在中国设立区域总部的世界500强跨国公司，积极邀请其参加投洽会。目前预计有意参会的跨国公司团组约有80多家。

在论坛方面，本届投洽会将组织“2014国际投资论坛”，主题为“开放、创新、共赢——全球经济园区的发展之路”，设置1场主旨论坛、4场专题论坛和1场投资专家沙龙。此外，今年的投洽会还将举办“跨国公司座谈会”、“海外华商投资中国峰会”、“世界商会领袖圆桌会议”等30多场高端论坛研讨活动。

论坛期间，联合国贸发会议将发布中文版《世界投资报告》和英文版《世界贸易与发展报告》，联合国工发组织将发布《非洲投资报告》，国家商务部将发布《中国外资投资指数编制办法》、《中国对外投资统计分析报告》等系列“引进来”和“走出去”的权威投资政策信息。

据介绍，本届投洽会展览总面积为10万平方米，规划展位4400个，分设7个主题投资展区和4个产业招商展区，新设艺术品投资展区。境外共有55个国家和地区的组织机构参展，参展面积约为11000平方米。
