Art in Hospital is an exhibition dedicated to children being treated at Beijing Smileangel Children's Hospital that specializes in cleft lip and palate correction.

On show are dozens of paintings, comics, photos and illustrations in public spaces at the hospital. The works have been mostly created by artists, including Zeng Jianyong and Yao Zhenxi, and their respective children.

The display hopes to cheer up the young patients and their depressed parents, and offer some stress relief to the medical staff.

Also on show are paintings by actor and the hospital's cofounder Li Yapeng and his daughter, Li Yan, whose palate was also corrected there, as well as children from poverty-stricken areas participating in the hospital’s summer camp.

The exhibition runs through Oct 7.

Advised time for visit: 11 am-12:30 pm, 4 pm-6 pm daily.
