In an ordinary Tibetan-style courtyard, all kinds of flowers are in full blossom in front of the two-story building, in the Tuanjie village of Lhasa. Here stands the "Pin Tsok Ge Don Restaurant", a traditional Tibetan restaurant enjoying a high local reputation.

Tsering Chogyel founded the restaurant in 2004 thanks to the rapid development of Tibet tourism. He said that, at that time, more and more people came to Tibet not only for enjoying its beautiful landscapes, but also to taste the delicious Tibetan food. However, the limited number of restaurants couldn't satisfy people's increasing needs then.

Besides, Tsering Chogyel thought he could inherit and carry forward Tibetan food culture as fewer chefs cook traditional Tibetan food in nowadays.

Tsering Chogyel's idea received positive response from his son and daughter-in-law, under the help of whom he opened the restaurant, which had only two private rooms and five or six staff, including the chef and service staff.

At the beginning, there were few customers, even no customers for four or five days because of the location of the restaurant.

Regardless of number of customer, Tsering Chogyel will provide them the most authentic Tibetan-style food with the freshest materials.

Hard work pays off, the "Pin Tsok Ge Don Restaurant" wins a good reputation through word of mouth.
