Hu Mingzhe, a professor of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and nine other artists are now showing their works at the Jindu Art Center in Beijing's 798 art district.

The exhibition reflects changes over the decades that have taken place in an age-old painting tradition in China called yancai.

The art — first created on ceramics, silk and lacquer ware — involves the application of mineral pigments.

The show runs through Oct 12.
