Fu, a Jiangxi province native, said he decided to build the museum in Hunan, because he believes that Hunan played an important role in the country's revolution and he could also learn from other museums in the province.

He plans to expand his museum from current 18 mu (1.2 hectares) to 538 mu (35.87 hectares).
