The Red Army climbed Jiajinshan, the first snow-capped mountain that the Red Army conquered during the Long March, in June 1935. Climbing snow-capped mountains and passing the meadows in Sichuan province helped the Red Army avoid the blockades set up by enemy soldiers. [Photo/Xinhua]
