The Guangzhou International Floral Art Exhibition, along with the annual conference of the World Flower Council, is scheduled to open on Sept 19 in Guangzhou, which has long been dubbed as the city of flower.

About 200 flower artists from more than 30 countries and regions will participate in the exhibition and conference, according to the organizers.

More than 200 international flower art works will be displayed at the Guangzhou Opera House and several related activities will be held during the event.

According to Feng Shengping, director of the Guangdong Provincial Situation Research Center, Guangzhou will make great efforts in the decade ahead to build into a world famous flower city.
