Hong Kong police hunting robbers of $2.8m worth of gold bars

Hong Kong police are hunting five suspects in connection with a robbery of gold bars worth nearly 20 million Hong Kong dollars (about $2.8 million).

Local press reported that five robbers in two cars, committed the crime when a minivan carrying 60 gold bars arrived at a gold processing workshop.

Two of them wielded blades and another used pepper spray to control the minivan driver before taking away the gold bars, each of which is priced at 300,000 Hong Kong dollars.

The driver of the minivan is being treated at hospital after getting pepper sprayed.
