The metro police bureau in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, recently posted a job offer on Sina Weibo, a Twitter-like service in China, in their first effort to recruit people to combat pickpocketing in the city's subway system.

A metro police officer said that they hope to attract more attention from young people, who often use the micro blog to share and read news. Successful applicants will receive a monthly salary of 2,000 yuan ($326) plus performance-based bonuses.
