Selena Gomez to work alongside Justin Bieber

Selena Gomez is set to work alongside Justin Bieber.

The 20-year-old 'Who Says' singer has confirmed she is set to become the new face of adidas's NEO label new style icon just one month after her on-again/off-again boyfriend - who she recently reconciled with after dumping him two weeks ago - announced he was teaming up with the sportswear giant to inspire young consumers with the label's stylish and fresh teen looks.

The young actress is set to be even more involved than the 18-year-old Canadian popstar as she plans to design her own collection of sports shoes, clothing and accessories, as well as front new campaigns for the brand early next year alongside the 'As Long As You Love Me' singer.

Selena - whose Dream Out Loud collection is currently sold in affordable US retailer K-Mart as well as her own fragrance - told Teen Vogue magazine she was slightly overwhelmed by the brand but is looking forward to learning more about design.

She said: "They know what's going to happen in 2014. They know all the hip stuff, so I almost feel like the underdog coming in and learning about the whole design process."

Justin and Selena's love affair has been rocky recently but they have been trying to get their relationship back on track in recent days after battling trust issues.

And while the actress - who is currently battling a throat infection while she records her fourth album - is preparing for a very busy 2013 she admitted she is looking forward to settling into her twenties.

She said she has recently learnt: "Don't stress as much. Every little thing seems like the end of the world, and it's hard to step back and look at the bigger picture. That's what I'm learning to do."
