BEIJING - China will hold the second World Internet Conference in the river town of Wuzhen in east China's Zhejiang province in October, officials announced on Friday.

The conference, scheduled to run from October 28 to 30, will be bigger and more representative than on its inaugural staging last year.

The Cyberspace Administration of China and the Zhejiang government held the first World Internet Conference in November 2014 in Wuzhen, calling for global Internet interconnectivity and shared governance by all.

Roughly 1,000 Internet professionals, officials and experts from more than 100 countries and regions attended.
