New B-Class redefines market segment

Workers assemble the front part of the new compact Mercedes Benz B-series, which went into production officially in Kecskemet, Hungary, March 29, 2012.

As the pillar model of the Young Mercedes family, the new B-Class is equipped with a next-generation four-cylinder gasoline engine with direct injection and 7G-DCT dual clutch transmission. The new model once again sets a trend for the luxury sports tourer market segment with its dynamic new exterior, stylish high-quality interior, enhanced handling and agility as well as Mercedes-Benz's world-class safety technologies.

Adopting industry-leading safety technologies, the B-Class has also set a new benchmark in its segment, with nine airbags and a number of high-end driving assistance systems, such as Attention Assist and Active Parking Assist. Relying on its innovative technology, the B-Class perfectly combines power, comfort and safety to provide a satisfying driving experience.

"I am sure this luxury compact sports tourer will become an attention grabber, capturing the hearts of our valued Chinese customers," said Hauber.
