China details borrowing from intl financial institutions

BEIJING - China had used $86.369 billion in loans from international financial institutions by the end of last year, the Ministry of Finance said on Tuesday.

Some $66.77 billion had been withdrawn by then, and China had repaid $33.169 billion of principal, the ministry said in a statement.

The lending has been used for 618 projects, 367 of which were supported by the World Bank and 204 by the Asian Development Bank, according to the statement.
