China and Malaysia held their first joint conference to discuss the latest developments in the construction of the two countries' Qinzhou Industrial Park on Monday.

The Qinzhou Industrial Park, located in Southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, is the first such project being co-built by the two governments to enhance commercial and economic cooperation.

The industrial park, planned to cover an area of 55 sq kilometers, aims to attract investment from both countries while providing companies with access to both Chinese and Association of Southeast Asian Nations member markets.

The Chinese government will offer preferential measures in taxes, land use, financing as well as human resources to support the industrial park project, officials from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said.
