"Les Journees Particulieres is more than an event — it is a celebration of hands, of time, and of the human spirit," said Michael Schriver, president of LVMH North Asia. From leather workshops to spirits tastings, artisans embodied this sentiment with their own practice.

The Shanghai launch reflects the group's deeper positioning in the Chinese market — from imported to going global, from serving clients to opening to the public, from "entering China" to "launching globally from China".

Craftsmanship, Schriver said, is a shared language between the East and the West: "China is not only a place where we celebrate exceptional craftsmanship, but also a vibrant source of creativity and cultural inspiration."

In the room of Hennessy, Diao Juan, 41, a nationally recognized inheritor of the Shu (ancient name for Sichuan province) embroidery tradition, demonstrated her traditional skills for a French cognac. Her design and embroidery of a goat in golden silk thread will appear on Hennessy bottle packaging to celebrate the upcoming Chinese Year of the Goat.
