The 2026 China Jingdezhen International Ceramics Expo opened on Sunday at the Taobo City International Convention and Exhibition Center in Jingdezhen city, East China's Jiangxi province, attracting more than 1,000 buyers from China and abroad. The event runs through Oct 22.
Covering 140,000 square meters, the expo features renowned brands from 19 countries and regions, including Germany's Villeroy & Boch and Japan's Koransha. Dedicated exhibition areas showcase the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, creative designs, international ceramic brands and ceramic-producing cities.
Themed "Creativity and Innovation, Empowering the Industry", the expo aims to promote international cultural exchange, global ceramics trade and investment cooperation.
Launched in 2004, the expo has grown into a platform for trade, cultural exchange and investment cooperation, supporting Jingdezhen's efforts to preserve and innovate its ceramic culture.
Known as the "Millennium Porcelain Capital", Jingdezhen has established friendly ties with more than 180 cities across 72 countries. On July 25, the Jingdezhen Handicraft Porcelain Industry Sites were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, becoming China's 61st World Heritage site and the first centered on porcelain.
