Kempinski Hotel Beijing Yansha Center is hosting its 33rd Oktoberfest from Oct 9 to 24, bringing Bavarian food, beer and live music to Beijing in a celebration of German culture that has become an annual fixture on the city's dining calendar.

Held at Paulaner Brauhaus in a specially constructed tent inspired by Munich's traditional Oktoberfest celebrations, the event runs daily from 6 pm to 10:30 pm. Highlights include a ceremonial keg tapping, a seasonal beer and live performances by European band SILBERKLANG.

The menu features Bavarian classics such as crispy pork knuckle, assorted sausages and roast chicken, served alongside Oktoberfest beer.

The hotel has also introduced an autumn-themed afternoon tea, available at Paulaner Bräuhaus and the hotel's lobby lounge. The menu features Bavarian-inspired treats, including pork knuckle pralines and mini butter pretzels, as well as cocktails made with Paulaner beer.

Christian Wiendieck, managing director of the hotel, said the annual event offers visitors from different countries an opportunity to experience German food and culture in Beijing.

Paulaner Brauhaus has been part of Beijing's dining scene for more than 30 years, serving Bavarian cuisine and brewing beer in keeping with German traditions. Its annual events, including Oktoberfest and Maifest, have become regular features of its food and live entertainment program.

Originating in Munich in 1810, Oktoberfest has grown into an internationally recognized celebration of Bavarian culture, with beer, traditional food and music at its heart.
