The 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum will open on Tuesday, bringing together nearly 100 official delegations, a Chinese Defense Ministry spokesperson said on Monday.

Jiang Bin, spokesman for the Ministry of National Defense, stated at an online briefing on Monday that preparations for the forum were complete and representatives from various countries were arriving in Beijing.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Beijing Xiangshan Forum. The three-day forum will be held from Tuesday to Thursday at the Beijing International Convention Center. According to Jiang, nearly 100 official delegations from countries, regions, and international organizations, as well as experts and scholars from China and abroad, will attend this year's forum, including more than 60 officials at the ministerial level or above and military representatives at the level of chiefs of general staff or above.

"The broad geographical coverage and strong representation of participants reflect the forum's longstanding values of openness and inclusiveness," he said. Jiang welcomed all the guests and expressed hope that the forum would help build consensus on stability and promote security governance, bringing more peace and hope to a world marked by intertwined changes and challenges.
