A youth choir formed through the variety show Voices of Youth by iQIYI, China's leading online entertainment provider, has won the C16 Pop Ensembles category at the 14th World Choir Games in Helsingborg, Sweden.

The group, named Burning Youth Group, became the first Chinese ensemble to take first place in this category at the competition, which is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious international choral events. The championship track is open only to choirs with verified international competition records.

During the performance, the group presented three pieces that showcased a cappella singing, layered pop harmonies, and rap-infused compositions. The judges praised the choir for its vocal control, stylistic versatility, and stage presence – qualities that were developed through the professional training structure built into the Voices of Youth program.

Since its premiere on April 24, the show has generated consistent audience engagement, accumulating 491 trending topics across various platforms. The championship win added 28 additional trending mentions across online channels.

The result highlights how music-focused variety programming can serve as a pathway for nurturing performance talent, while also expanding the cultural reach of online entertainment platforms beyond traditional content formats.
