Heilongjiang cultural crafts exhibited at Shanghai book fair

As part of the 2026 Shanghai Book Fair's Changning sub-venue activities, a series of events titled "Opening the Book of Yuyuan Road Together" kicked off on Yuyuan Road in Shanghai on Friday.

A cultural sharing session featuring Qitaihe city in Heilongjiang province was held at the Changning District Workers' Cultural Palace, where Changning district and Qitaihe city exchanged books and cultural and creative products.

A cultural exchange event for Hegang city in Heilongjiang province was also held. Wang Changli, the founder of ice flower porcelain and a master of arts and crafts in Heilongjiang province, shared the story behind the craft.

Ice print founder Zhu Xiaodong, and Wang Shining, a young painter from Jixi, showcased their work. Cultural experts from Heilongjiang were also invited to tour Yuyuan Road's historic landmarks and engage in academic interactions with Lu Jiong, an inheritor of the Shanghai-style stone carving intangible cultural heritage.
