One rescued, five still missing after boat capsizes on Yunnan's Nanpan River

One villager has been rescued and is in stable condition, while search efforts are continuing for five others missing after a small boat capsized on the Nanpan River in Panxi town of Yuxi, Yunnan province, on Wednesday night, local authorities said in a statement.

After the incident, the municipal authorities activated an emergency protocol, coordinating efforts across emergency services, fire departments, public security, and health authorities to conduct rescue operations, which are ongoing.
