Khaled Nazmy, ambassador of Egypt to China

We are gathered here on a historic soil that witnessed a culture that flourished over 5,000 years alongside the Liaohe River. Our gathering today is proof that our ancient heritage and civilization is not only a chapter in history, but also a living legacy that continues to inspire us, bring us together and remind us of our shared responsibility to preserve our cultural heritage, deepen our friendship. Although the Hongshan heritage and the ancient Egyptian heritage flourished in different regions … both became a source of inspiration, cooperation and friendship.

Arlindo do Rosario, ambassador of Cabo Verde to China

My visit to the Niuheliang site of Hongshan culture left a deep impression on me. A civilization with a history of around 5,000 years, Hongshan is not only part of Chinese civilization, but also a shared spiritual heritage of humanity. Although Cabo Verde and the Hongshan homeland are separated by geography, our common aspirations connect us.

Looking back at Hongshan, we see how ancient people interpreted the sacred, built social order, and envisioned the future through the pursuit of beauty.
