On August 5, at the 2026 Conference on Hongshan Culture, Chinese archaeologist Guo Dashun and American sinologist Elizabeth Childs-Johnson sat side by side in deep conversation. Having known each other since the 1990s, both have long been dedicated to the research and promotion of the Hongshan culture. Guo Dashun noted that the Hongshan culture itself is inclusive and open to diverse influences, a trait that perfectly parallels the spirit of academic pursuit.
