China centralizes procurement of 65 essential medications

The 12th round of China's centralized drug procurement program kicked off on Friday morning in Shanghai, according to the National Healthcare Security Administration.

This round covers 65 commonly used drug varieties, spanning multiple therapeutic areas, including anti-infectives, oncology, treatments for blood clots, diabetes care, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, rheumatology and immunology, as well as anti-inflammatory and pain relief therapies.
