The first round had more than 20,000 tickets available, with the highest priced at 1,280 yuan ($189) and the lowest at 180 yuan; later, 80 yuan charity tickets will be released.

Within 10 minutes of tickets going on sale, the premium set for the Shostakovich Symphonies Cycle featuring Valery Gergiev and the Mariinsky Orchestra—consisting of all eight performances—sold out. After one hour, over 11,000 tickets had been sold, totaling around 8 million yuan.

According to the opera house, ticket buyers came from 25 countries and regions, with most domestic buyers from Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang provinces. Purchases through the Shanghai Grand Opera House official mini-program accounted for 76 percent of tickets sold.
