Qingtian added that science is a tangible and perceptible form of beauty, which is vital for a child's aesthetic enlightenment and spiritual growth.
Education blogger Shi Leipeng said that the body of work created by Zhao Chuang and Yang Yang serves as "the best demonstration of aesthetic education," the core of which is not teaching children how to paint, but showing them how "beauty" can be created.
Zhang Kai, professor at the School of Information and Communication of the Communication University of China, said the exhibition uses science as its foundation and art as its medium to connect ancient life with idyllic nature.
"Science reveals the truth of nature, while art conveys the beauty of life," Zhang said.
"The offline viewing experience breaks through the limitations of digital screens, guiding children to reflect critically on the relationship between humans and nature. It is a high-quality sci-art educational venue with immense value for both science popularization and aesthetic cultivation."
A series of public educational activities, including sci-art lectures and creative workshops for teenagers, will be held during the exhibition to promote the concept of "New Aesthetic Education".
The exhibition runs until Aug 31, during which opinion leaders from various fields, art industry experts, scholars, as well as university faculty and students, will be invited for tours and panel discussions.
