Former senior official investigated for serious violations
Li Jianbo, a former senior official from the Ministry of Transport, is being investigated for suspected severe violations of Party disciplines and national laws, China's top anti-corruption watchdogs announced on Friday.
The announcement was published online by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision. However, no further details have been released.
Public records show that Li, 67, a native of Henan province, had worked for years in several departments at the General Office of the CPC Central Committee before he joined the ministry.
In March 2012, he served as a member of the ministry's Party leadership group, as well as head of a team arranged by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection within the ministry.
From December 2015 to March 2019, he was a member of the ministry's Party leadership group.
