One dead, 10 saved after bulk carrier goes missing

One crew member was confirmed dead and 10 others were rescued after a bulk carrier went missing in waters off Qinzhou Port in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, local authorities said on Sunday.
The vessel lost contact at about 6 pm on Saturday in the outer anchorage area of the port with 11 people on board, according to a statement from the Qinzhou maritime search and rescue center.
Search and rescue efforts were launched immediately after the incident. As of 9:50 am on Sunday, 10 survivors had been pulled to safety, while one crew member was found without vital signs.
The cause of the incident is under investigation, and related aftermath work is also underway.
