A members' club for fine wine enthusiasts, 67 Pall Mall, will open its first venue on the Chinese mainland in December, establishing a foothold in Shanghai at the Grand Mansion on Donghu Road in the city's Xuhui district.
The opening marks a key step in the group's international expansion. Founded in London in 2015, 67 Pall Mall currently operates clubs in London, Verbier and Singapore, alongside a resident membership program based in Hong Kong.
The Shanghai club will feature more than 5,000 wines by the bottle from over 40 countries, with around 1,000 available by the glass. The selection will span major regions such as Bordeaux and Burgundy, as well as lesser-known producers, with a pricing model based on relatively low mark-ups compared with typical hospitality venues.
The group sources wines directly from producers, including estates in which it has ownership or investment stakes, and avoids purchasing through auction channels. It said this approach is intended to ensure provenance and consistency across its international clubs.
A curated cellar of more than 1,000 Chinese wines will also be developed, featuring producers from Ningxia, Xinjiang, Yunnan and other regions. The group said Chinese wines will be presented within the same tasting framework as leading global labels.
