A cold-chain train carrying Thai durians, Vietnamese young coconuts and other Southeast Asian fresh fruits arrived in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on Thursday, marking the official launch of regular China-ASEAN cross-border fruit cold-chain rail services.
The 2026 "ASEAN Fruits Gather in Guangxi" campaign kicked off the same day at Nanning International Railway Port, with a number of contracts for ASEAN fruit procurement and sales projects signed.
Guangxi Department of Commerce said that, as China's core gateway for ASEAN goods, the region was building a docking platform for premium ASEAN farm products entering the Chinese market.
