Athletic apparel brand lululemon brought its signature yoga festival to Shanghai's North Bund on Saturday, welcoming nearly 1,300 enthusiasts to the North Bund International Passenger Center for group practice and a themed light show along the Huangpu River.

The event follows the brand's previous yoga activation at the Great Wall in Beijing. Throughout the day, lululemon Ambassadors led a range of sessions, including Flow Yoga, Barre Flow, and a special practice blending traditional Chinese martial arts with yoga.

Set against the iconic Bund skyline — a symbol of East-West cultural exchange and openness that mirrors yoga's inclusive spirit — participants stretched, moved and breathed in sync with the riverside breeze and the sounds of passing ferries on the Huangpu River.

As night fell, lululemon unveiled a large-scale light show inspired by its community collectives, and built around the themes of "breathe", "stretch" and "flow". The projections lit up several landmark structures along the skyline including the Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower.

As the first brand to stage a holographic projection at the Grand Halls, lululemon designed the light show to encourage city dwellers to pause amid the fast pace of daily life and reconnect with the mindful power of yoga.

The brand also showcased its new 2026 Yoga collection featuring its signature Nulu fabric, alongside interactive experiences such as body painting and hair braiding.
