First merchandise store for 33rd FISU Winter World University Games opens in Beijing

The first official licensed merchandise store for the 33rd FISU Winter World University Games opens in Beijing Olympic Park on Thursday, bringing the 2027 Changchun event's mascots, emblem and Jilin-inspired designs to a wider audience. [Photo by Guo Yanqi/chinadaily.com.cn]

The design features local landmarks, including FAW, formerly China First Automobile Works, and Jingyuetan National Scenic Area in Changchun, while luminous lines trace the Songhua River across the pieces.

"The puzzle badge set is impressive and meaningful. I love its colors and shape," Zhang Guoxuan, a tourist from Shandong province, said. She added that gourd pendants featuring the games' element also stood out as souvenirs people could take home and hang in their cars.
