Chengdu High-tech Zone celebrates Lantern Festival with AI, talent showcase
"It's amazing to stand on such a big stage and sing songs from our own industry," said a singer in a five-member group from the biomedicine sector.
Humanoid robots participated in every process of the event, from guest reception to dancing alongside human singers.
In a creative job fair, 28 companies hung lanterns above their booths. Job seekers could scan a QR code on a lantern streamer to view positions and submit applications instantly.
A speed-dating activity used AI matching and interactive games to help 80 single young adults forge connections.
Local officials said the event was part of the Chengdu High-tech Zone's broader efforts to develop the youth economy. Through creating relaxed and engaging communication platforms and new social scenarios, the zone aims to help young people build successful careers while enjoying a happy and fulfilling life.
