Xinjiang county blends heritage, modern services for Spring Festival
Xinjiang's Awat county recently hosted a lively Spring Festival celebration, blending traditional cultural activities with modern community services.
The event, held on Tuesday, is part of the Aksu prefecture's Spring Festival celebrations. It offers a cultural feast, featuring intangible cultural heritage experiences, folk interactions, and volunteer services.
A highlight of the event was a crafts booth where visitors got to explore calligraphy and paper-cutting, guided by cultural volunteers and intangible heritage inheritors.
The festivities also included 16 volunteer service teams providing practical services like policy consultation, legal advice, and health check-ups.
The celebration featured performances by local artists and community groups. As part of Awat's broader cultural program running until March 3, these events aim to foster cultural participation and unity among all ethnic groups and enrich the holiday season with meaningful and engaging experiences.
