Prestigious film awards announce notable nominees
A-list actors Zhu Yilong and Yi Yangqianxi are vying for the Best Actor award, recognized for their performances in the war epic The Volunteers: To the War 2 and Big World, respectively. Other nominees include Da Peng (The Litchi Road), Liu Haoran (Decoded), and Huang Xiaoming (Mostly Sunny).
Best Actress nominees include Song Jia for the feminist comedy Her Story and Yong Mei for Like a Rolling Stone, which follows a 50-year-old woman breaking free from domestic drudgery.
As one of China's most prestigious film honors, the Golden Rooster Awards will be presented during the 2025 China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival, which will be held from Nov 11 to 15 in Xiamen. The festival will also feature film screenings, exhibitions and themed forums.
