China science and tech association to launch intl month for mutual learning
The China Association for Science and Technology will initiate an international month in October, organizing a series of activities focused on openness, cooperation and trust in science to advance civilizational exchange and mutual learning.
Zhang Bin, deputy director of the Department of International Cooperation of the association, said that during the international month, around 60 international science and technology exchange activities will be conducted in 15 provinces, autonomous regions or municipalities, as well as in five foreign countries, including France and Brazil.
These activities will invite experts from China and abroad to discuss cutting-edge fields such as artificial intelligence, integrated circuits, new energy, high-end equipment, biomedicine and precision medicine, Zhang added.
"To address the common challenges of development, humanity needs international cooperation and open sharing more than ever before," Zhang said.
"The international month aims to establish an uninterrupted, fair and inclusive international platform where we can gather the 'positive energy' from the global science and technology community, demonstrate to the world the formidable strength of 'openness, trust and cooperation', deepen exchanges and cooperation with the international science and technology community, pool global wisdom and jointly create a better future," he added.
