During the Han Dynasty (202 BC-AD 220), people adorned stones, bricks, walls, textiles, and various wares with rich, vivid painterly motifs. These diverse images, both decorative and narrative, offer a glimpse into the life and spiritual world of the Han people.

Artist Lu Yifei is among those passionate about Han art, striving to blend its style and understated beauty into his creations. His ongoing exhibition in Hong Kong, 2000 Years of Han Art, showcases his pioneering efforts to infuse contemporary elements into the Chinese art tradition. Lu's unique visual language also incorporates the free-flowing, expressive qualities of Chinese calligraphy and the xieyi (sketching the spirit) approach of classic Chinese painting.

The exhibition is being held at Art of Nature Contemporary until Sept 16.
