The curtain comes down on 20th Changchun Film Festival


The 20th Changchun Film Festival concluded in Changchun, Jilin province, on Thursday.
The closing ceremony performances, featuring dance and music, were interspersed with the award segments, highlighting the festivals theme of "New Era, New Cradle, New Power, New Journey".
The festival received 93 films for awards, with 18 reaching the final selection, showcasing a collection of excellent works from last year.

The festival featured six major sections: opening and closing ceremonies, film awards, film screenings, film exchanges, a tribute to the "film cradle", and industry integration.
A total of 50 cultural and tourism activities were held during the festival, integrating film art into the city's daily life, enriching the cultural and tourism experience for residents and visitors.

Founded in 1992, the China Changchun Film Festival is the first film festival in new China named after a city.
Over 33 years and 20 successful editions, it has become a barometer of Chinese cinema, a birthplace for new talents and works, and an important platform for promoting Chinese film creation, cultural exchange, and high-quality development of the film industry.
