On Aug 3, the "i Yunnan: Zheng He Cultural Exchange Event" was held in Yunnan Museum of Ethnology in Kunming. Malaysian bloggers joined local batik and tie-dying artisans to experience these traditional crafts firsthand.

Together, they celebrated the spirit of the great Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) navigator Zheng He (1371-1433), who was born in Yunnan and embodied the spirit of openness, exchange, and friendship. As they imagined welcoming the visit of Zheng He's great treasure ships to Malaysia, the participants were able to connect with Yunnan's past and witness the profound cultural integration between China and Malaysia.
