Center holds graduation ceremony for Chinese class in Vientiane

The China Cultural Center in Laos held a graduation ceremony for its 2025 Spring semester Chinese language class on June 27, drawing more than 100 guests, including students, parents and representatives from various local institutions.
A student representative who goes by the name of Xingxing, delivered a speech in fluent Chinese and drew warm applause. “I have been learning Chinese since I was a child and I have been captivated by Chinese TV series and music. Teachers at the center have opened up a broader world of Chinese culture for me,” she said.
The Lao student added that she hoped that the center could open more advanced Chinese courses, which she would be eager to join.

Luo Weijian, the center's newly appointed director, presented graduation certificates to the students and encouraged them to continue their Chinese learning journey and become cultural ambassadors between Laos and China.
The director also outlined the center's three principles: deepening China-Laos friendship through cultural exchange, revitalizing traditions with innovation and fostering a shared future based on mutual understanding.
